Eletään vuotta 2018, Suomessa muuttoliike kaupunkeihin ja yleinen kultuurin urbanisoituminen turvottaa asutuksia ja lähiöitä niiden raja-alueilla. Kulttuurielämä tukeutuu uudella vuosituhannella yhä vahvemmin abstraktioiden ja tavoittamattomien ideaalien varaan. Kaupungissa eläminen on kallista ja sosiaalisuus pyörii globaalien trendien jatkuvassa vyörytyksessä. Työttömänä kaupunkien vuokra-asunnot kuntien laitamilla tarjoavat suojaa urbaanin viidakon ja itsensä edustamisen paineilta. Pian kulttuuri jota kaupungistuminen edustaa alkaa tuntua vieraalta ja jopa vihamielisyys sitä kohtaan kasvaa.
”Aivotutkijat pystyvät näkemään ihmisen aivoista fyysisesti, jos kyseinen henkilö on varttunut kaupungissa. Etuotsalohko (DLPFC) on massaltaan vähäisempi kaupungissa kasvaneilla. Tämä on tulkittu seuraukseksi jatkuvasta stressistä eli taistele tai pakene -reaktioista. Muutokset etuotsalohkossa ovat yhteydessä skitsofreniaan, joka onkin – muiden mielenterveyden ongelmien ohella – urbaaniympäristössä huomattavasti yleisempää kuin maaseudulla.”

Urbaani Primitivismi ennustaa tuloerojen kasvun ja vaillinaisen sosiaalipolitiikan johtavan lähiöalueilla apatian kautta atavismiin ja uudenlaises uusprimitiivisen ihmislajin syntyyn.
Kun syrjäytymisriskissä elävien varattomuus, tai masennus ei anna periksi muuhun kun perustarpeiden tyydytykseen niin ihmisen alimpia viettejä aletaan fetisisoida, samalla hyläten kaupungeissa vallitsevat korkeakultuuriset arvot ulottumattomina ja jopa haitallisiksi koettuina piirteinä.

Finland 2018. The relatively late urbanisation of the culture, the migration of peoples into cities keeps bloating them creating ever expanding sub-urban areas at their borders. The cultural life of the 21st century city is increasingly centered around abstractions and unattainable ideals of living. Life expenses increase and unemployment is almost epidemic. The unemployed, the sick and the strange are granted assisted housing at the growing suburbs. They're like havens from the pressures of self representation in the urban jungle. Soon, the culture that urbanisation represents starts to feel alien and hostility towards its values is on the rise.

"Brain researchers can physically observe from a persons brains if they've been raised in a city enviroment. The frontal lobe (DLPFC) has a decreased size when a person is city grown. This has been interpreted to be the result of the stress caused by a continuous stress, or the "fight or flight" response. Changes in the frontal lobe have been shown to have connection to schizophrenia, that is 
-in inclusion with other mental health problems- significantly more common than in the country side."

Urban Primitivism predicts that as the disparity in levels of income and insufficient or dysfunctional social policies leads to to the birth of a new form of a human at the sub urban border areas of cities. When the depression, poverty, substance abuse and other issues of those who are at risk of being marginalised do not give way to anything but the satisfaction of basic needs, the lower instincts start to become fetishised and the dominant traits in high culture are seen as unreachable, or even threatening forces to the immediate way of living of the Loppuasukas, or the final- the omega dweller.

As an art practice, urban primitivism takes it's queues from paleolithic cultures and animistic belief systems. It emphasises connection and interaction with ones immediate environment; reuse of urban waste and natural materials; reinterpretation and creation of local mythos; ritual and religious object fetishism; spooky things at the borders of society and at the edges of forests.
