Myytillinen Lähetysjärjestelmä, on installaatio jossa lähetän kotikutoisin laittein videosignaalina tulkintoja muunmuassa Lauri Simonsuuren ”Myytillisiä Tarinoita”-kirjan kansantaruista. Videoinstallaatiossa pyrin kutomaan yhteen vanhan kansantaruston ihmeellistä tunnelmaa, vanhentuneen videoteknologian nostalgian kanssa. TV-signaalit kulkevat läpi avaruuden valon nopeudella ja hyvin korkeissa taajuuksissa. Kerran lähetetty signaali jatkaa teoriassa kulkuaan ikuisesti. Lähettämäni signaali ei siis ole vain läsnä näyttelyn installaatiossa, vaan samalla se säilöö suomalaista kansantarustoa radiotaajuuksiin läpi tunnetun aika-avaruuden.
Teos oli osa Elham Rahmatin kuratoimaa "Stories from the city, stories from the sea" -näyttelyä. Osallistumiseni näyttelyyn mahdollisti TAIKEN myöntämä Koronatuki-apuraha
Mythical Broadcast System, is an installation using makeshift broadcast equipment to transmit a video signal containing interpretations of finnish myths as they are presented in the book: ”Mythical Stories”, by Lauri Simonsuuri, and other sources. This video installation seeks to intertwine the sense of wonder of folklore with the nostalgia present in outdated video equipment of the more recent past. TV-signal travels in high frequencies, at the speed of light, and in theory once they are transmitted they will keep going through space for eternity. This way, the myths are not only presented in an installation, but also preserved in signal through space for all knowable eternity.
